The tools here run entirely in the tab you have open. This page explains exactly what that means, which measurement tools run on the site, and what each of them records.
What happens to files and text you put into a tool
Nothing you type or upload is sent to a server. The text style generator builds its output from Unicode lookup tables running in your browser tab. The image compressor uses your browser's own canvas to re-encode the file. The PDF to Markdown tool reads the PDF locally with pdf.js and writes the Markdown locally.
There is no upload endpoint on this site. A file you drop into the compressor or the PDF converter is processed on your device and never transmitted anywhere, including to us. If you close the tab before downloading a result, the result is gone, because it only ever existed in your browser's memory.
What our hosting provider sees
This site is deployed as static files on Cloudflare. Cloudflare terminates the connection and serves the page, which means Cloudflare sees the same request metadata any web host sees for any visit, things like your IP address and the page you requested. This happens before any of our own code runs, and it's true of essentially every website on the internet.
Beyond that request metadata and the analytics described below, we add no collection of our own. We don't read or store the contents of what you process in a tool, and we have no server that could receive them even if we wanted to.
Accounts
There are none. You don't create an account to use any tool on this site, there's nothing to log into, and we hold no profile of you.
Analytics
An earlier version of this page said no analytics ran here, and promised to name the specific tools before any went live. This section is that update. Three measurement tools now run on this site, and two of them only start after you say yes.
Google Analytics 4 records which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and which links get clicked. Microsoft Clarity goes further: it records anonymised playbacks of browsing sessions on this site and builds heatmaps of where people click and how far they scroll. That is meaningfully more than page counts, which is why it is named plainly here rather than folded into a general sentence about analytics. Clarity masks text content by default, and we have not turned that masking off.
Neither of those two loads until you choose Accept on the cookie bar. Choose Decline and no Google or Microsoft script is ever fetched, no request is made to either company, and no cookie from them is set. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie choices button in the footer of every page.
The third tool is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and page speed. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other sites. It is injected by Cloudflare as part of serving the page rather than by our own code, and because it identifies nobody it runs regardless of your cookie choice.
Cookies
With analytics declined, or before you have answered the cookie bar at all, this site sets no cookies whatsoever. Everything below happens only after you choose Accept.
Google Analytics 4 sets cookies beginning with _ga, used to tell one visit apart from another and to recognise a returning browser. Their standard lifetime is up to two years. Microsoft Clarity sets cookies including _clck and _clsk, used to tie the pages of one browsing session together for session playback. Their lifetime ranges from the length of a single session up to one year.
One more piece of storage is always present, and it isn't a cookie: your answer to the cookie bar itself is written to your browser's localStorage, so you aren't asked again on every page. It records nothing but the words granted or denied.
Clearing your browser's data for this site removes all of it, including your recorded choice, which means the cookie bar will appear again on your next visit.
Advertising
There is currently no advertising on this site. If that changes, this page will be updated first to describe what's added and how it affects your privacy.
What's stored in your browser's localStorage
The site uses your browser's localStorage to remember your preferences between visits. That means your theme choice (auto, light, or dark), the last settings you used in a tool such as a target file size in KB for the image compressor, and your answer to the cookie bar.
This storage never contains file contents, the text you styled, or anything from a document you converted. It's small preference data, and it lives only in your browser. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Third-party fonts and scripts
Every asset the page needs in order to render, including its one web font, is served from this site's own domain. Rendering a page here never requires a request to a third-party font or script host.
The only third-party scripts on this site are the analytics tools named above, and they are not needed to render anything. If you decline, none are fetched. If you accept, your browser additionally requests scripts from googletagmanager.com and clarity.ms after the page is already usable.
Children's privacy
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age, because the tools don't collect personal information from anyone at all.
