How reaching the 100KB scan floor works
The initial floor is 102,400 bytes. A smaller image goes through JPEG quality search, optional upscaling and comment padding if needed. A source already meeting the floor stays unchanged. The actual mix depends on the input; the tool reports padding instead of assuming that a larger scan contains more detail.
Where increasing a document to 100KB falls short
- Neither padding nor upscaling captures letters missing from the source. If text is unreadable, obtain a clearer scan or photo before processing.
- A result can exceed the floor, including a small padding-segment overhead. Check any separate maximum size.

Questions about meeting a 100KB document floor
Why does the result include padding?
The allowed encoding and scaling attempts left it below the selected floor. The reported padding fills the remaining byte shortfall without adding document detail.
Will scaling up recover tiny unreadable letters?
No. It can enlarge existing content, but cannot recapture missing strokes. Compare the source and result, and use a better scan if the text is unclear.
Can I use a PDF scan here?
No. This tool requires an image the browser can decode, such as an appropriate JPEG or PNG export. Each input is limited to 40MB.
Does the tool extract or assess my document text?
