How the NEET photo resizer works
The starting preset is 138×177 pixels and 10–200 KB. Its pixel count is a rounded conversion of 3.5×4.5 cm at 100 DPI, chosen for this tool rather than asserted as a universal digital requirement. Compare it with the current bulletin. Use the DPI buttons or Custom dimensions if different values are required, then position the crop. The encoder searches JPEG quality and reports the size achieved, including any comment-block padding used to reach your selected minimum.
Where this NEET photo tool falls short
- The preset is not a substitute for the current application instructions. Confirm the pixel dimensions, permitted format and byte limits for your upload field.
- A digital crop does not validate a separately requested physical print. This tool does not write the selected DPI into the JPEG header.
- No automatic checks assess the face, background, date or authenticity of a photo. Even a file inside your chosen KB range needs a visual review.
Questions about the NEET photo upload
Can I use the same file for an upload and a postcard print?
Read the requirements for each item separately. The default is a small digital crop; changing a file-size target does not establish the size or print quality of a physical photograph.
How do I change the pixel dimensions if my scanner uses a different DPI?
Use the DPI buttons or enter your scanner's exact output into the custom width and height fields. The tool will lock the crop box to your new aspect ratio.
Why does the result show padding bytes?
The encoded crop was below the minimum selected in the tool. JPEG comment bytes filled the shortfall without adding image detail. Check the total and the current upload requirements before using it.
Will this tool compress my signature file as well?
This preset locks to a passport-photo shape. For a signature upload, use the custom fields to enter the signature dimensions or switch to a dedicated signature compressor tool.
