How native browser decoding handles 50KB
The browser decodes the source locally. A file above 51,200 bytes is re-encoded as JPEG, with optional dimension reduction when quality alone is insufficient. A decodable source already within the target returns unchanged. Unsupported or damaged files can produce a processing error.

Can I specify a 600×600 pixel result?
No. This page targets bytes and optionally scales the existing dimensions. Use a crop-and-range tool with Custom dimensions for a specific output size.
